- You need a nomination from an institution that meets the Vanier Canada graduate scholarship quota.
- You should desire to start your academic year during the summer or the following academic year.
- For every year on this scholarship, it is worth $50,000.
- By January 2026, you should have been enrolled into a full time PHD program.
- The doctoral program you are applying to can include MD/PhD, DVM/PhD, JD/PhD. These programs should have related research areas. While applying for this program, the Vanier Canada Graduate Scholarship will only fund the PHD part of the program.
- It is required that you have at least a first class average in the last two academic sessions you have had. You should check with your university to know how their first class average is calculated.
