Mental health is an important topic that needs to be discussed daily with everyone. I feel we need to enlighten people about it daily.
This is because we often feel we are okay but in reality we are already on a fast lane to a mental break-down.
Personally, I never thought I had experienced a mental health challenge until I started researching and attending seminars on mental health.
Literally, our mental health has to do with our emotional, psychological and social well-being. It plays a big role in the way we think, feel and act.
There’s hope because we can build our mental health positively using this seven ways below;

Accept who you are.
Accepting who you are is hard especially when you are not with the people that love you.
Too often, you are mocked and you start comparing yourself with others, when this comes into the picture, it is hard to accept who you are.
So the first step in building a good mental health is accepting who you are no matter the circumstances.

Have genuine love for others.
I call this real love for others. We don’t do fake here.
When you easily love the people around you, it removes the burden of hating anyone.
Then you are on the right track to working on your mental health.

Do something you are good at.
I wanted to write a song lyrics here but maybe next time I will.
Doing something you are good at is the best way to relieve you of stress or anything stressing your mental health because you have passion for it and you enjoy doing it.
You should do it with or without financial benefits in return.

Self-care.
Some ladies have a daily self care routine that helps them calm their nerves.
Self care is one great way to cool off. You can go for a massage or a spa day, just literally spending on yourself to ease life issues.
I do this a lot but on a budget.

Always ask for help.
There are different issues we go through in life and some persons don’t really know how to open up to others or are scared of what people would say.
Please don’t bottle up your situation inside you, you can always ask for help from the people you trust or you go for a talking therapy session or even a priest can help.
Just find a way to get the issues out for others to help. I know we would have heard this saying “a problem shared is a problem half-solved”

Eat healthy.
You would look stressed, tired and drained if you don’t eat healthy.
Food is one of the most important things we need to help us improve daily in our lives.
So we should try our best to eat healthy at all times.

Rest,sleep, drink sensibly.
Yay!!! Finally, you have to rest. Yes you have to take break from the endless pursuit and one great way to do this is to sleep.
Take all the required sleep you need, avoid thinking too much or even drinking too much.
When you put all that has been mentioned into practice, you will realize that life is not complicated as some people think.
